Julia
Here is Julia playing trumpet during a performance of Franck's symphony at the Brevard music camp.
I admire the concentration in that visage. And I remember this piece fondly from adolescent listening. Franck doesn't let you forget the principal themes, does he? I'm pretty sure the major-mode theme (F#-G-F#-F#-D-F#-F#-A-F#-F#) is sounded emphatically by the trumpet (or cornet?), carrying over the orchestra in an unctuous blare.
