Eileen Myles, "No Rewriting"
Here's a poem that seems loose and baggy, unrevised (no rewriting) but is actually tight and effective:
"sticking my hands in my jeans
jackets
which ones have the torn pockets
I repaired
and where do I put my keys
now
which pants am I in
do I remember them?"
It occupies about 6 pages in the BAP. No wasted motion. 9.5.
Go Eileen!
