Own Face by Clark Coolidge. 1978 (1993).

This is probably my favorite poetry book of all time. For sound in poetry, there is no better place to go. And it's funny too:

the black cat
had got too light
and had to be diminished
to be discarded
be banished

he never would wear
the suit I bought him
the suit of shoes
