The Lone Gun

George Montgomery plays a sheriff who can't raise a posse to go after a group of cattle rustlers. In shades of High Noon, the townspeople chicken out. He has to depend on the wiles of a professional gambler.

This is an ok generic Western with the typical formulaic elements.

  2. Not particularly. I like "A Fistful of Dollars" and movies like that, but I'm not a fan of the genre in general.

  3. Ok, you like spaghetti westerns (so do I). A suggestion, although I'm not exactly sure you'll like it: 800 Balas, by Alex de la Iglesia.

  5. Cool, I'm not loosing my touch. One thing I've always been proud of is my ability to recommend movies to people, according to their personality. That's harder to guess on the blogosphere.
