put up?

Yes.

I can't put up with him (I can't tolerate him / put up money for my company (invest) / put up a house (erect) / put up your fists (to box).

I was thinking I could come up with one that had two answers:

tolerate / move to an erect position /

where the answers would be "put up" and "stand." The challenge would be to devise one with more than two clues as well as two answers. Standing somebody some money is like putting up the money, but that's a little bit of a stretch.
