Just once I'd like to read a post on flarf that said: "It's not my thing. I don't really dig it, but I'm glad it exists. Let a thousand styles flourish." Would that be so hard to say?
Speaking of rants, I wish people wouldn't sign their posts with only their first name. People generally come with at least a first and a last name for a reason. Anyway, just wanted to mention that the above, which is interesting and politely written and all, was not written by this Nick.
Your phrase in this post ("It's not my thing...") is exactly how I feel about Flarf. I don't enjoy reading Flarf but I do love how it seems to create such hostile attacks from people. It must be doing something right.

ResponderEliminarYes. Just plain "Nick" is Nick Bruno? Or Nick somebody? "Nick Piombino" is Nick Piombino.

I'm pretty sure I've said something exactly like that. And when I did, people ignored me and go on sniping.
ResponderEliminarGood point. I'm sure others have said so too and nobody has noticed.
ResponderEliminarApparently it is too hard, yes. To all these folks I say: another big steaming helping of white male poetic agon, please.
