Is William Logan the reactionary poetry critic the same guy as William Logan the translator of Lorca? Please help me with this; I need to know. I'm thinking they're not the same guy at all, and that the translator must be at least 10 to 20 years older than the critic.

  1. You may be confusing William Logan with John Logan.

Here's a good essay on Berryman by the "reactionary".

  3. William Bryant Logan is a different dude. Wrote a book called Dirt; and if I'm not mistaken also wrote a few pieces for Teachers & Writers.

  4. I do know who John Logan is. I rarely confuse him with William Logan. (I did once, though, a few years ago.) I'm glad to know William Bryant Logan who translated Lorca is a different guy. I just wanted to make sure.
