"The very existence of poetry should make us laugh. What is it all about? What is it for?"

I've decided to kick it up into high gear for 2006 in writing scholarly articles. As I was working on one today I said to myself, "I know how to do this." I don't have any problems generating ideas, or in writing them, or in getting them published. I needed to take a brief break because it has gotten stale for me. Now I'm up for it again.

What do you think you will write about?
I'm going to start with an essay on Samuel Beckett in Spanish poetry. Then move on to the poetic collaboration between Lola Velasco and Amalia Iglesias. Then I'll probably do some Gamoneda. His theories of rhythm. Afterr that, who knows?
Just as long as your blog doesn't become Silliman-lite.
I'm not going to write the articles on the blog...
Understood. Just expressing a concern that the "tone" of the articles will influence the tone of the blog. Plus, I couldn't resist the temptation to take a swipe at Ron.
